The basis of this vacuum coater is the double-axis Pegasus® paddle mixer. It also satisfies all basic criteria for the addition of high or lower doses of liquids and powders to grain, pellets, granular materials, crumbs, meal/flour and other powders. The use of an additional vacuum helps the centre of the basic product to penetrate liquids and any aromas and flavours.

This vacuum use allows higher liquid percentages to be applied to the basic product. The vacuum, after all, allows the additives to be drawn into the basic product and then they will not be released. The Pegasus® vacuum coater is suitable for the processing of aqua feed and pet food, pet foods, and food industry applications. Hygienic designs, including CIP washing, have also been developed for food and pet food applications. In the food industry, this coater is often used for special procedures, such as applying flavourings.
