This makes the vacuum or standard mixer Pegasus® a flexible unit in which it is possible to combine many complex processes or process phases. Steam injection, drying, cooling, mixing, adding liquids and powders, mixing under a protective atmosphere and placing liquids into a carrier are illustrative examples of this.

A good example is the Thermidor method, in which steam is pumped into flour, then dried and cooled. In this way, with only one machine, flour is fully hygienized. Another example is the 5-in-1 Pegasus® mixer, in which the base product is mixed and sprayed, and the dry additives are added as a topcoat to dry and cool in the same phase of the process.
