Aquafeed Plant

In 2019, LGPM was part of the construction team in a $50 million aquafeed facility in Westbury, Tasmania, capable of producing 50,000 tonnes of extruded feed per year.

LGPM designed, supplied, installed and commissioned the bulk intake, storage silos, batch weighing system, macro ingredient dosing system and bulk bag filling systems. These included the following elements:

• The bulk intake, including integrated dust extraction, cleaning, storage silos and batch weighing.
• The macro-ingredient dosing system, including bulk bag discharge stations and dosing screws; feeding into weighing hoppers capable of accurately dosing batches of macro ingredients.
• Associated structural steel and mechanical conveying systems to enable plant operation.
• LGPM also provided our proprietary, world-class, bulk bag filling system for the packing of finished feed.
