Although greenfields projects are impressive and showcase all of LGPM’s capabilities, most of our work comes from upgrading existing manufacturing plants. This featured project was to design and implement a post pellet liquid coating and whole-grain addition system on the tail end of an existing pelleting line.

LGPM was commissioned to supply a turnkey solution including all equipment, custom-made bins, weigh hoppers, pneumatic receiver, electrical work, control system upgrades, liquids dosing, structural steelwork, and conveyors. Although a relatively small project, it was by no means simple. Space was extremely limited and working around Inghams demanding production schedule meant LGPM’s Project team had to design a system to be installed over a weekend shutdown, this required extensive modular design elements, and preparations in order to guarantee Inghams were back in production on Sunday nights shift.
